If you are a constituent or have a personal connection
with members of the Georgia House leadership or House
Public Safety Committee, we need you to contact them
ASAP and urge them to support the Concealed Carry
Reform that eliminates the public gathering
restriction ENTIRELY for Georgia Firearms Licensees.

On Tuesday, the VP of GFODL (Georgia Firearm Owners
Defense League www.gfodl.org ) and I visited with a
supportive Representative at the state capital
concerning the GFODLs proposal for Concealed Carry
Reform. The GFODL proposal removes the public
gathering prohibition entirely for Licensees. Our
Representative is very concerned that the Atlanta
Journal and Constitutions continuing criticism of gun
owners and concealed carry is scaring the Georgia
Republican leadership and members of the Public Safety
Committee. In addition, we are running out of time to
get this reform done in this session.

Our supportive Representative believes we can get this
passed in the House if we can overcome the Committee
and Leadership hesitancy. To do that, we need to prove
there is local support and demand for this reform
within these Legislators home districts, ie local
heat.

Here are the folks we need to reach out too. If you
are a constituent or have a personal connection, send
them the GFODL bill which removes all the public
gathering restrictions (see below for web link) and
ask them to pass it in this session.

Island

The American Petroleum Institute has a terrific
contact page for the Georgia Legislature that shows
the district office (city cited above) and legislative
office. Plus there is a email feature. Here is the
